The Piccadilly line tube service has been suspended between Northfields and Heathrow after a person was hit by a train at Hounslow East.

British Transport Police said that the person sadly died after the incident on Monday afternoon (February 27).

TfL first announced the incident online at around 12.30pm and the service was still suspended an hour later.

Heathrow Express said there has been an incident in the Hounslow area causing problems at Heathrow terminal two.

Not being treated as suspicious

The incident is not being treated as suspicious by British Transport Police.

Here is the statement from BTP: “A man has sadly died after he was struck by a Piccadilly Line train at Hounslow East station this afternoon.

“Officers from BTP were called to the station just before 12:30pm, they attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.”
