Passengers are facing delays on the Piccadilly line after a person has been hit by a train at King's Cross Station.

Emergency services were called to the scene at just after 1.20pm today (Wednesday January 18).

There is currently no service on the Piccadilly line between Arnos Grove and Hammersmith .

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Our officers have been called to King's Cross station following reports that a person was struck by a train on a westbound Piccadilly line platform.

"Officers are being supported by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance.

"A man is being treated for injuries at the scene."

Emergency services , including the air ambulance rushed to the scene, with many passers-by capturing the chaos and sharing it on social media.


The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.

Transport for London is reporting severe delays on its network for the Piccadilly line.

There are also currently severe delays on the Victoria line with no service between Victoria and Brixton due to a signal failure.
