A petition aimed at getting a suburb of Watford incorporated into Hillingdon borough and London has received 100 signatures.
Calls have been made to make South Oxhey part of Hillingdon in a move which supporters say would bring mutual benefits to both areas.
The petition says allowing the area to become part of Hillingdon would allow the London council to tap into surplus land to meet growing housing demands, while benefits bought to South Oxhey include improved transport links.
South Oxhey is a suburb of Watford in the Three Rivers district of Hertfordshire.
The online petition will be handed to London Mayor Boris Johnson if it garners enough signatures.
It will also be handed to Hillingdon Council, Three Rivers District, Hertfordshire County Council, and The Local Government Boundary Commission for England, which sets boundary and constituency changes.
