Police are looking for a "lone male suspect" after a woman was raped in broad daylight in Ealing.

Metropolitan Police said the incident happened between 5.30am and 6.30am on Saturday (May 13) in parkland between Stockdove Way, Ruislip Road East and Argyle Road in Perivale.

Officers said the allegation was made by a woman and relates to a "lone male suspect".

He is described as being a young, black man who was wearing dark clothing, and was last seen in the area of Ruislip Road East and Argyle Road at around 6.45am on Saturday.

Police said the woman is being supported by specialist officers.

Detectives from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who saw the suspect in the area on Saturday morning or who saw anything suspicious.

Police said no arrest has been made at this stage and enquiries continue.

Residents reported seeing a crime scene and blue forensics tent set up beside the river on Saturday morning, while a police helicopter hovered overhead.
