Police want to trace a pensioner last seen waiting for an ambulance to take her to hospital.

Shirley Ashton, a 69-year-old from Pimlico, was last seen at approximately 2pm on Thursday (August 13), in Cambridge Street, while awaiting an ambulance to take her to hospital for treatment to a pre-existing medical condition.

She is a white woman, of slim build, approximately 5ft 2ins tall, with short, grey bobbed hair. She was last seen wearing a peach-coloured t-shirt and a blue overcoat with a hood.

Police say she has a fascination with hotels.

Given the poor weather conditions over recent days and Shirley’s need for medical treatment, police are urgently seeking any information which could help to find her.
