A pedestrian is fighting for his life after being hit by a bus in the West End .

The 27-year-old man is in a critical condition in a central London hospital with a head wound following the collision on Regent Street at the junction with Conduit Street on Saturday (December 10), shortly after 9pm.

It is the latest in a string of incidents which have seen pedestrians hit by buses , and comes a few days after a woman was left in “a pool of blood” in Shepherd’s Bush after being struck by a single-decker.

Police say the driver stopped at the scene and has not been arrested. He is assisting detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit with their enquiries.
