Two males arrested on suspicion of murder remain in custody following the fatal stabbing of charity worker outside his home in Paddington.

Abdul Samad was attacked in Fleming Court, St Mary’s Terrace, at 11.45pm on Monday (October 16), and died just over an hour later at St Mary’s Hospital.

Scotland Yard say the 18 and 17-year-old males arrested on suspicion of murder, just hours after the attack and close to the scene, remain in custody in north London police stations, with warrants of further detention have been obtained.

Police have yet to identify the victim, but colleague’s of the 28-year-old have confirmed he was the victim and paid tribute to him.

Mr Samad worked for Dragon Hall Trust, a charity which helps young Londoners develop their tech skills.

The charity’s director, Nicole Furre, told getwestlondon: “We are a very close knit team here and Abdul was very much part of it.

Abdul was as an "extremely talented" and "will be sorely missed"

“He was extremely talented with tech and really great with children and young people.”

She added: “He could even manage to make coding exciting.

“He will be greatly missed here and he had an impact on a lot of people.

“We’re all still trying to process what has happened.”

Police confirmed that the men who attacked the victim are understood to have been on mopeds.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating, led by Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price.

Police are yet to formally identify Mr Abdul, but say next of kin have been made aware.

A post-mortem has yet to take place.
