Detectives are seeking the owner of a compact mirror after the item was recovered following the arrest of two people at Heathrow.

Officers from the Met's Aviation Policing Command arrested two people, a 50-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of theft on Tuesday (November 7).

They were taken to a west London police station where they remain in custody; a compact mirror was recovered during the investigation.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "The pair were found to be in possession of a silver compact mirror with the inscription, 'To Charlie girl Merry Christmas 2015 Lots of love Wendy and Jimmy Xx'."

The silver compact mirror has the inscription: "To Charlie girl Merry Christmas 2015 Lots of love Wendy and Jimmy Xx"

"It is not known where or when the item was stolen, but detectives would like to speak with anyone who recognises it."
