The man accused of murdering Marta Ligman, the 23-year-old woman whose body was found in a suitcase in the Grand Union Canal, has appeared in court.
Tomasz Kocik appeared briefly at the Old Bailey on Friday (May 15). The case was adjourned until July 31, with the 38-year-old remanded in custody.
The body of Ms Ligman was pulled from the canal on Sunday (May 10).
She lived in Buckingham Road, Brent - the same street as the man charged with her murder.
