Glowing reports have been received following Ofsted inspections at all 76 day nurseries and pre-schools in Hounslow.

The brilliant achievement has seen around 56 of the educational establishments graded as "good" with the remaining rated "outstanding".

Of these, Kingsley Road Pre-School based at Hounslow Youth Centre, Hounslow and Bright Horizons Cisco Day Nursery, located at Cisco Systems’ UK HQ in Bedfont Lakes Office Park, Bedfont , were graded outstanding in their first inspection report.

Having opened in 2014, Cisco Early Years Nursery and Preschool, was inspected in October and the report praised "well behaved" children, the nursery team’s “excellent partnerships with parents” and the bond between children and staff.

The Ofsted report stated: “Children's enthusiasm to learn is nurtured through well-planned activities and outstanding teaching throughout the nursery.

"Children are motivated and excited to learn and make outstanding progress in their learning.”

The deadline for primary schools admission is in January

Nursery manager, Joanna Akram, said: “We are all thrilled with the ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted; the report reads like a treasure trove of positive comments.

"It’s great to see that the passion and enthusiasm of my staff has been recognised and rewarded in such a way.

"Our focus now is to continue to offer exceptional care and education to all of the families we serve.”

Hounslow Council’s Early Years and Childcare Service has seen a rise in the number of free early learning and childcare places taken up by children aged two years from less advantaged backgrounds.

There has also been an increase in the percentage of children achieving a good level of development at the end of reception year.

Hounslow has scored 69% in this area equivalent to the national average.

Councillor Tom Bruce, cabinet member for education and children’s services at Hounslow Council, said: “This is fantastic news.

"The outcome of recent Ofsted reports on our pre-school and nurseries in the borough is something everyone should be proud of.

“It shows the hard work that pupils, staff, parents and guardians and staff across all the services have put in, so well done to them.”
