A pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a collision with a bus in Notting Hill on Friday (January 6) morning .

The incident, the latest in a series of collision between buses and pedestrians in west London, happened at around 10am in Elkstone Road.

The Met Police has told getwestlondon that the injured woman is in her 60s and in a critical condition.

Kensington and Chelsea Police said Elkstone Road is currently closed and is urging motorists to avoid the area.

Transport for London (TfL) said the No 23 bus is on diversion in both directions due to the traffic collision.

In December witnesses described a pedestrian, also a woman in her 60s, lying in a pool of blood after she was involved in a collision with a bus in Uxbridge Road, Shepherd’s Bush.

And in nearby Ladbroke Grove a woman was left pinned between a bus and a wall following a collision in November.
