The Islamic State executioner who studied in west London and is known as Jihadi John is on a British government kill-list.

According to the Mirror, Mohammed Emwazi, the notorious executioner who has appeared in videos decapitating western journalists and aid workers, was one of 10 British jihadis the government wants dead.

Also thought to be included on the list was Reyaad Khan, the British jihadi killed by a targeted RAF drone attack in Syria last month.

The government say he plotted terrorist plots in the UK, and Defence Secretary Michael Fallon indicated that more drone strikes could be launched within weeks to kill terrorists in Syria plotting to wreak carnage in Britain.

In February, it emerged that Emwazi - a University of Westminster graduate - was the Islamic State executioner dubbed Jihadi John.

Dressed all in black with a balaclava covering all but his eyes and the ridge of his nose, and a holster under his left arm, he first appeared in a video which was posted online in August last year, in which he appeared to kill American journalist James Foley.

He reappeared in videos of the beheadings of US journalist Steven Sotloff, British aid workers David Haines and Alan Henning, and American aid worker Peter Kassig.

Earlier this year, the militant appeared in a video with the Japanese hostages Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto, shortly before they were killed.
