A man taken to hospital with a stab wound in Northwood Hills has been described as being in a non life-threatening condition.

Police were called at 4.21pm on Monday September 4 to Joel Street to reports of a man armed with a knife .

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and a 60-year-old man who had suffered a knife wound to the chest was taken to a west London hospital.

His condition has now been deemed non life-threatening, police confirmed on Monday evening.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Joel Street, Northwood Hills

"No other persons are believed to have been involved in this incident," the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

"Next of kin are being notified.

"No arrests.

"Hillingdon Police are dealing."

Pictures showed a heavy emergency service presence in the area, near the Joel Street allotments.
