An 18-year-old who died in hospital on Tuesday (November 21) after a brutal stabbing in Northolt has been named locally as Jason Isaacs.

The teenage boy, from Northolt, was killed in a suspected gang attack in Newnham Close at around 10.30pm on Saturday (November 18).

Mr Isaacs spent three days in a coma after being ambushed and stabbed with a large knife in the “brutal and apparently pre-planned attack".

On Tuesday (November 21), a spokesman from Metropolitan Police confirmed that the 18-year-old victim died of his injuries.

The victim's father Steven Isaacs also confirmed his son had “lost his battle for life” in an emotional Facebook post.

“Son, we all love you so much,” he wrote on social media.

“Thanks for being a great son, brother, cousin and friend to everyone. You made us all so proud.

“Love you like the big blue sky.”

Mr Isaacs, who was a student, is the 24th teenager to be violently killed in the capital this year.

After launching a murder investigation on Tuesday (November 21), Metropolitan Police said a group of men are believed to have arrived on two scooters before chasing the victim.

They then stabbed him multiple times before returning to their scooters and riding off.

After the attack, the victim's godfather Craig Henry also posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook.

He said: "I will always hold you in my heart for the rest of my life. Love you Jay, will always miss you."

'Brutal and apparently pre-planned attack'

Police enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of the attack and a post-mortem will soon be carried out.

Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, who is leading the investigation, urged anyone with information to come forward.

“This was a brutal and apparently pre-planned attack on a young man,” he said.

“He was stabbed multiple times with a large knife with his attackers intent on inflicting fatal injuries.

"At this early stage, it is believed that a group was involved in the attack on the young victim."
