Detectives investigating the murder of 18-year-old Jason Isaacs in Northolt made two further arrests on Tuesday (December 12).

An 18-year-old man was arrested at his home in Watford on suspicion of murder but has since been released under investigation.

Detectives also arrested a 16-year-old on suspicion of murder at his home in north-west London and he remains in custody in a north London police station.

Searches at both addresses are ongoing, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.

The arrests on Tuesday (December 12) come after a 17-year-old was charged with murder on December 1.

He will appear at the Old Bailey on February 20. A provisional date for a murder trial has been set for April 30.

Jason Isaacs, 18, of Northolt, was stabbed multiple times in Newnham Close on November 18 and died in hospital three days later after falling into a coma.

A post-mortem conducted on November 24 found Jason's cause of death to be a stab wound.

Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh has made a fresh appeal for information after the two arrests.

“It has been three weeks since Jason was attacked and killed,” he said.

“We have charged one male and made two further arrests, but we continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the attack, or anyone with information to come forward."

He continued: "Our suspects are four people riding on two mopeds. At least one of them was not wearing a crash helmet. Did you see them before, after or during the incident? Can you name any of them?

"Your information, even if provided anonymously through Crimestoppers, could help remove violent criminals from your area or may eliminate someone from police enquiries. No matter how small, please make the call."

The Met's Homicide and Crime Command are leading the investigation and have offered a £20,000 reward for information that leads to the prosecution of those responsible.

DCI McHugh added: "I know that there are people who know who the suspects are and it is vital that we hear from those people without delay.

"A young man has lost his life - your information will make a huge difference and get justice for Jason's family and help us remove these dangerous individuals from your community.

"We are keen to find out where these suspects were before and after the murder - there may be other victims of these four mopeds criminals, and you may not have reported the crime.

"Your information could be so important to our case."

Jason's Mother said: "Our amazing, beautiful Jason went out with friends for a night out and a few drinks. He should have come home to his loving family. Instead, he was brutally attacked, he never stood a chance.

"Our lives are in pieces. Every little piece of information is really important. For Jason, make that call, thank you."

Anyone with information is asked to call police Incident Room on 020 8785 8099 or the Homicide and Major Crime Command via 101, or on Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
