Section 60 authorised

Stop and search powers authorised

Chief Inspector Kandohla of Ealing MPS has confirmed that stop and search powers have now been authorised across the borough.

“A section 60 stop and search power has been authorised across Ealing and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

“This is to reassure residents and the public that the police are doing everything to tackle knife crime in Ealing.”

Increased police presence

A spokesman for Metropolitan Police said that residents can expect increased police presence.

“Police have established a crime scene at the location and are currently conducting door to door enquiries appealing for witnesses.


“Residents will see an increased police presence in the area over the weekend as reassurance patrols are conducted.


“If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact the police on either 101 or through crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.

Stabbing in Northolt

Police have just confirmed a 17-year-old was stabbed at the junction of Ramsey Close and Lillian Board Way.

The teenager was stabbed in his thigh and was taken to a west London hospital after receiving aid at the scene.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Reassurance patrols

Police from Acton are carrying out “reassurance patrols” in Northolt.
