North Harrow Station has closed on Wednesday (June 8) evening due to flooding and heavy rain.
One Twitter user @Adrian_FFC captured footage of a street in Eastcote following the flooding, with cars struggling to move in inches of rainwater.
The flooding comes after The Met Office issued severe weather warnings for the west London area for Wednesday (June 8) afternoon.
The yellow warning of rain means the Met Office believes scattered heavy, perhaps thundery, showers with the potential for lightening strikes are expected to develop and continue until 8pm on Wednesday.
According to the chief forecaster's assessment, "where showers do occur they are likely to be heavy and slow-moving, leading to surface water on roads and difficult driving conditions. Lightning may also be a hazard."
