Police have renewed calls for witnesses to come forward after a man, who officers believe was aged 18, was fatally stabbed in North Acton on Thursday (December 1).

The victim died after he suffered stab wounds during a fight, outside the University of the Arts London's largest and newest halls, the Costume Store.

Police and paramedics were called to Victoria Road just after 6.30pm after reports of a fight, where they found him suffering from stab wounds.

The victim, who police believe was aged 18, was rushed to a hospital in west London where he later died.

Next of kin have now been informed although formal identification awaits.

Detective chief inspector, Sam Price, who is leading the investigation, said: "I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this attack to come forward and speak to police.

"I am particularly to keen to trace and speak to a female who was seen with the victim in the moments before he was attacked.

"There were a lot of people in the area of Victoria Road at the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who can assist our investigation to contact us."

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place this afternoon (Friday, 2 December) at Uxbridge Mortuary.

Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to call the police incident room on 020 8721 4054 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Enquiries continue and so far there have been no arrests.
