A brand new McDonald's has opened to the public with an official ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate on Friday (July 7).

The north Acton restaurant has been welcoming customers through the doors for a week but Friday saw the gathering of managing director Atul Pathak OBE alongside Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing Central, and leader of Ealing Council, Julian Bell to open the restaurant officially.

The fast food restaurant, which is located just off the A40, in Leamington Park, provides a 24-hour service and offers local customers with the option of the newly established McDelivery service.

Speaking to getwestlondon , managing director of the restaurant Atul Pathak said he is delighted to have created 120 jobs.

"We have 120 new employees we've taken for this restaurant," he said.

"As the business progresses this is only going to increase, so I am very pleased to offer new roles and new job opportunities to the local people."

Mr Pathak believes it is his responsibility to give something back to the local community.

"I like to work with the communities and take a lot of pride in with working with my communities because all my customers and all my employees come from the local community, and it's my responsibility to give something back to them," he said.

The restaurant has two floors and a drive-thru

The restaurant has two floors with a number of seating areas both indoors and outdoors and also has a drive-thru option for customers.

It is Mr Pathak's 30th franchise in the capital, managing a number of restaurants across west London including Brent Cross, Neasden , Southall and Shepherd's Bush .
