The new greener iconic London Taxi due to roll out later this year has been unveiled.
The final design has been released for the new electric-powered black cab which has also been given a new name and new logo.
The transformation is due to wheel its way onto the capital's roads in a matter of months.
A huge £325m investment has seen the London Taxi Company (LTC) relaunch as the London Elecrtical Vehicle Company (LEVC), complete with a new logo to support its global vision.
The new London Taxi - the TX - will run on electric battery with a small petrol generator, saving on average £100 week on fuel.
The all-new electric TX and its eCity technology will allow taxi drivers to whisk passengers to their destinations with more than 70 miles on zero emissions before switching to petrol for 400 miles.
The move is in line with a new Transport for London scheme which will ban licensed taxis from running on diesel from 2018.
Final quality and testing checks are being carried out on the TX which has taken on extreme heat conditions in the Arizona desert and freezing temperatures in the Arctic Circle.
LEVC will launch in the London market with the TX order book opening on August 1 this year.
