Mystery over abandoned car found lying on its roof in residential road as police appeal for information

Brent Police is seeking to information as to how the car ended up on its roof in the middle of the road

Police in Brent are appealing for information after a car was discovered upturned on its roof and abandoned in the borough over the weekend.

Posting to Twitter on Sunday morning (July 16), the force said officers found the vehicle in Priory Park Road.

The Tweet reads: "Vehicle found abandoned on Priory Park Road, NW6.

"If anyone can shed any light on exactly how it ended up on it’s roof, we’d like to know."

Naturally, Twitter users came up with some rather witty explanations.

@TheDespard suggested a "gravity mishap", whilst @royjones78 simply say "it fell over".

@RyanRyantiplady commented saying: "Leave the car alone it's having a nap".

Others commented on the parking and also the weather.

Anyone who can shine a light on how to car ended up roof down on the road in Brent is asked to contact Brent Police by calling the non-emergency number, 101.
