Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died following a mass fight in Brent Cross on Friday (February 17).

Officers from Metropolitan police found a man in his early 20s with a wound to his neck in Heathfield Gardens at around 7.15pm.

He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS) but was later pronounced dead.

Police said the death came after they were called to reports of a number of males fighting.

Enquiries are now underway to trace and inform the next of kin.

Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of affray, and they remain in custody at a north London police station pending further enquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information.
