The body of a missing woman has been discovered under a flyover in Hayes .

Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of Pardeep Kaur from Hayes, following an appeal to trace the 30-year-old who had not been seen since last Sunday (October 16).

The body was found in waste ground underneath the Harlington High Street flyover shortly after 4.30pm on Saturday (October 22).

Whilst police await formal identification they believe the deceased is Pardeep.

The housekeeper who worked in a hotel at Heathrow had not turned up for work which sparked a missing person's appeal last week.

The death is being treated as suspicious.

A murder investigation is under way, led by DCI Mark Dawson of Homicide and Major Crime Command who is appealing for witnesses that may have seen Pardeep walk to work on the morning of October 17 to come forward.

DCI Lawson said: "At this early stage of the investigation I am appealing to any witnesses in the Carlton Avenue and Bedwell Gardens area who may have been driving to work to come forward as they may have seen Pardeep walking to work at about 6:30am on Monday, October 17."

Next of kin have been informed.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

The Metropolitan Police said there have been no new arrests made in connection with what is now a murder investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to call the incident room on 0208 358 0200 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Two men aged 30 were arrested in connection with Pardeep's disappearance on Wednesday (October 19).

Both have been bailed pending further enquiries to return to a date in early December.
