A much-anticipated new Marks & Spencer Foodhall opened its doors to Greenford residents on Wednesday (August 30) after launching in a local retail park.

Dozens of local residents gathered at Westway Cross Retail Park at 10am as the retail giant launched its new store, showcasing its range of food and drink.

The Foodhall, which has created 55 new jobs in the area, will offer customers “convenience and high-quality ranges for every occasion”, from freshly prepared meals to deli snacks ideal for picnics.

Milan Patel, the new store manager at the Greenford Foodhall, said there has been a lot of excitement about the store, in which there will be “something for everyone”.

“There has been real excitement amongst locals in anticipation of the new store opening and the turnout today has certainly proved that," he said.

“Our customers will be spoilt for choice with the unbeatable range of food and drink we have in store, from traditional favourites to show-stopping dishes perfect for celebrations."
