A woman who died while riding pillion on a motorbike in north London was the manager of a boutique hair salon in Chelsea .

Police had appealed for information after a woman in her 40s died following a collision with between motorbike and a taxi in Camden on Tuesday February 21 evening.

She has been named as Claire Berretti, a 45-year-old who managed the exclusive Sejour salon in Bray Place, according to the Evening Standard .

Emergency services had been called to Clerkenwell Road at the junction with Farringdon Road at around 8.45pm to reports of the collision, with the pillion passenger pronounced dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment, while the taxi driver, who stopped at the scene, is helping police with enquiries.

A biography of Ms Berretti reads on the Sejour website: “Since moving to London from Scotland 18 years ago Claire’s experience in the Hair and Beauty Industry spans over 15 years.

“Claire has been with Sejour since it first opened in June 2004 where with her dedication and expertise within the industry helped in the creating and branding of Sejour.

“Claire has always been an integral part of the business enabling the salon to run smoothly."

Getwestlondon has approached Sejour for comment.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Ms Berretti’s sister Gillian Berretti said her sister would have been celebrating her 46th birthday today (Monday February 27).

She said: “It is just so sad. She was such a generous soul. She was beautiful, kind and caring, a natural comedian too.”
