The mother of a Harrow student who died in suspicious circumstances in Germany is still fighting to find out the cause of his death and bring those responsible for his death to justice.
Jeremiah Duggan, 22, visited Wiesbaden, south west Germany in 2003 to attend what he believed to be a peace conference protesting the Iraq War.
After calling his mother Erica at 5am one morning in distress however, Jeremiah's body was found an hour later outside the offices of the antisemitic right-wing La Rouche movement.
Despite suspicious circumstances surrounding Jeremiah's death, the German authorities concluded that the cause was suicide by means of a traffic accident.
Now deeming that the case is closed, an inquest into the ruling was planned to take place this month , after 12 years of fighting.
But the March inquest has now been postponed, expected to take place from May 19 to 21 at Barnet Coroner's Court.
Any individuals who have information will be asked to give evidence, including the leader of the LaRouche network in Germany, Helga Zepp LaRouche. Mrs LaRouche declared on the morning of Jeremiah's death that, as he was British and Jewish, he worked for the enemy and was sent to harm them.
Two-and-a-half years ago a Higher German Court ruled the case should be re-opened.
It is claimed the Wiesbaden authorities went back to the same police detective who had allegedly destroyed vital evidence 12 years before and failed to take witness statements.
Erica Duggan said: "Whether the case is open or closed the German authorities have failed to properly investigate.
"I hope that at this public inquest the danger that I believe is still out there is publicly exposed and that others do not suffer the fate that cut short my son's life."
