A jewellery shop in Mayfair was targeted today (January 19) by a robbery for the second time in six months.
Metropolitan police said they were called to the Chronext jewellery store in Piccadilly at 11am to reports of a "smash and grab" robbery.
Officers said four people on two mopeds broke windows at the store and made off from the scene with a quantity of goods, but there are no reports of any injuries.
It is not yet clear what was taken from the shop.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called at approximately 11:00hrs on Thursday, 19 January to reports of a smash and grab robbery at a watch shop in Piccadilly, W1.
"Four people on two mopeds broke windows at the store and made off from the scene with a quantity of goods.
"There are no reports of any injuries.
"Officers from the Flying Squad have been informed."
There have been no arrests and enquires continue.
It comes less than six months after the same store was targeted on August 3 last year , when a group of four men were caught by officers attempting to carry out a smash and grab at the high-end watch store.
The group of four men were jailed after the raid, which left a police officer with a fractured skull.
