Fire crews are at the scene of a blaze at a flat in Mount Street, Mayfair.

London Fire Brigade were called to the scene at 8.10am on Tuesday, with 35 firefighters in attendance from Soho, Euston, Paddington and Chelsea fire stations.

Part of a third-floor flat was alight according to the fire service.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.

The fire was under control by 9.46am

A spokesman for London Fire Brigade said:

Part of a third floor flat and part of the flat roof at third floor level were damaged by fire.


The Brigade was called at 0810 and the fire was under control at 0946 .

35 firefighters are tackling the blaze

A spokesman from London Fire Brigade said:

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers have been called to a fire at a block flats above a shop in Mount Street in Mayfair.


Part of a third floor flat is currently alight.


The Brigade was called at 0810.


Fire crews from Soho, Euston, Paddington and Chelsea fire stations are at the scene.


The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
