A man has been found with a fatal stab wound on a double decker bus in Marylebone.

Police have launched a murder investigation after the 48-year-old was discovered on the route 189 bus shortly after midnight on Friday (April 28).

Officers were called to Gloucester Square, near the junction with Dorset Square, in Marylebone, by London Ambulance Service at 12.10am.

Officers believed they know the identity of the deceased, but are waiting for formal identification and confirmation that next of kin have been informed.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who was travelling on the bus to contact and assist them with their investigation.
