Three men who may have witnessed a violent assault that led to the death of a 49-year-old man in Westminster have been urged to come forward by police.

Swedish national Guzman Shannan died after he was attacked in Henrietta Place, Marylebone, on July 29.

Police attended the incident after they were called to reports of a fight at 6.27pm on July 29.

Guzman was found at the scene in a critical condition with severe head injuries.

He was rushed to a central London hospital by London Ambulance Service.

He sadly died on August 2.

A post-mortem examination on August 8 gave the cause of death as a head injury.

On Saturday (November 11) an appeal was launched to find three men who were in the area at the time of the attack and who police believe may have witnessed what happened.

Metropolitan Police have released images of the three men who were in Sophisticats Bar in Marylebone Lane on the evening of July 29.

Officers want to speak to the men and have urged to come forward.

Detective Constable Neil Goodwin, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "We are keen to hear from the three men who were in a bar on the night that Guzman was killed.

The men were in Sophisticats bar in Marylebone Lane on the evening of July 29.

"It is possible that they have information that will help us piece together the events of that night to establish what led to a man losing his life.

"I would urge them to contact the incident room. I would also like to hear from anyone else who has information but who is yet to speak with officers."

A 21-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the fatal attack.

Two other men - both aged 21 - were arrested on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation but both have since been released with no further action.
