A man in his late 60s died after being hit by a train on the Central line at Marble Arch Station on Monday (September 25).

British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed on Tuesday (September 26) that a 67-year-old man died following the incident at the tube station.

His next of kin have been informed.

Emergency services were called just before 2pm to Marble Arch London Underground station following reports of a person struck by a train.

Officers and paramedics rushed to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Marble Arch station was closed for around an hour.

The station and line fully reopened at 2.45pm.
