Police are appealing for any information regarding a serious assault in Harlesden after a man and woman were stabbed in the street following a house party.

According to a Met Police spokesman, the assault happened in Mayo Road at the junction with Church Road on Wednesday August 5 at around 12.45am.

A house party had taken place at an address in Mayo Road and, as the party finished and the group had dispersed, a fight broke out in the street, police said.

A 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man tried to intervene and separate the group, which resulted in them both being stabbed.

The suspect, who didn't attend the party, ran off down Mayo Road.

Both the man and woman were taken to hospital before police arrived. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Met Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made and enquiries still continue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Brent CID on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
