A 48-year-old man claims he was stabbed in the arm after an argument with a woman in Southall.

Detectives in Ealing are appealing for witnesses to the alleged assault, believed to have taken place in Dormers Well Lane, at the junction with Uxbridge Road, just after midnight on Wednesday (July 1).

Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene and the man was taken to a west London hospital for treatment.

A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and was later released on bail pending further enquiries. She is due to return to a west London police station on a date in late July.

Detectives are seeking witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.

Officers said they believe a man and woman were involved and that the victim had two dogs with him at the time of the incident.
