A young man has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in Bedfont.

The male in his mid 20s was found with stab wounds on Sandy Drive, near the troubled Watermead Estate, and taken to a west London hospital.

The Metropolitan Police said they were called at 10.08am on Wednesday (April 13) to reports of a man stabbed.

Officers from Hounslow, paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance attended the scene.

A spokeswoman for London's Air Ambulance said: "Our advanced trauma team was dispatched via aircraft by the London Ambulance Service at 10.11am today, to reports of a stabbing in the Feltham area."

Police enquiries continue and there have been no arrests.

This is the second stabbing in the borough of Hounslow in less than a week, after 28-year-old Sahil Roy from Isleworth was stabbed to death on Sunday (April 10), at Ivybridge Estate.

A 28-year-old man, Azeem Issa, has since been charged with murder and is due to appear in court.

Earlier this week tributes were paid to the ‘friendly giant’ described as a ‘kind and loving guy’.
