A man was kidnapped and robbed at gun point during a terrifying incident in Westminster .

The victim was pistol-whipped by three unknown men after they bundled into his car before subjecting him to a vicious assault.

The 42-year-old was only able to escape after managing to fight his way out of the car, police said.

The victim’s ordeal began when he was sitting in his parked Black BMW 1 Series at Portnall Road, at 11.15pm on November 20.

Three unknown men forced entry into the vehicle, dragging the motorist into the back of the car and driving off with him inside.

He was then threatened and hit with the handgun before making his escape.

The trio drove off, and the car was found on fire in Hardinge Road in Brent by London Fire Brigade at 3.30am on November 21.

The victim, who needed hospital treatment for his injuries, also had his £200 Bvlgari watch stolen.

Police have launched an appeal to track down the robbers.

All three suspects were black and aged 25 to 35, according to the Metropolitan Police's description.

  • Suspect 1 is of slim build and around 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing dark clothing with his hood up
  • Suspect 2 is of slim muscular build. He was also wearing dark clothing with his hood up
  • Suspect 3 is of slim muscular build. He was wearing dark clothing with his hood up and a silver mask which covered the top half of his face

Detective constable Amy Holt, the investigating officer from Westminster’s Serious Crime Unit , said: “This was a horrific ordeal for the victim and it has left him very distressed.

"We are determined to catch those responsible and we would appeal to anyone with information or any witnesses to come forward.

“We would also remind people to be vigilant and be aware of their surroundings, especially when it is dark.

"If you see something that is suspicious or makes you feel unsafe, get to a place of safety as soon as possible and call the police.”
