A young man is fighting for his life following a fight in Willesden in the early hours of Saturday (June 4).

The man, who is believed to be in his 20s, was rushed to hospital after a clash involving a group of people in Bertie Road, near the junction with Willesden High Road.

Police said they were called to the scene, close to Willesden bus garage, just after 3.20am.

Officers found a man with serious injuries, who was taken to a north London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police said on Saturday morning that a crime scene remained in place as officers continued to investigate the incident, and no arrests had been made.

The High Road remained closed as of 9.30am in both directions between Dudden Hill Lane and Strode Road. Diversions had been put in place for bus routes 52, 98, 260, 266, 302 and 460.
