A man has died after falling from a shopping centre car park in Uxbridge town centre.

Metropolitan Police were called just after midday to reports that a man had fallen from a height at Cedars car park, Uxbridge, which serves the Pavilions shopping centre.

A spokesperson for the police said: "Officers, London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London's Air Ambulance attended.

The 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene

"A man aged 44 was pronounced dead at the scene. Our enquiries continue."

London's Air Ambulance confirmed that their advanced trauma team were dispatched at 12:08 to a fall from height in the Uxbridge area".

The death comes less than a week after another man died falling from a bridge over the A40 in Hillingdon. A motorist this week spoke of how he comforted the man as he lay on the roadside .
