An 18-year-old man has died following a stabbing in West Ruislip on Monday (November 9), prompting police to launch a murder investigation.
According to Met police , officers were called to High Road, Ickenham, at 5.35pm following reports of a stabbing.
The London Ambulance Service were called and a man was treated at the scene before he later died at a west London hospital.
Police have arrested a man in his 20s, who was taken to a west London police station for questioning.
High Road, Ickenham, is closed in both directions between West Ruislip Tube Station and Aylsham Drive because the area remains a crime scene.
The force anticipate that the area will remain closed until at least Noon on Tuesday (November 10), but there will be pedestrian access to West Ruislip tube station, which remains open.
Next of kin have been informed of the murder, and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
