A Southall man has denied murdering a young mother-of-two.

Agim Isaku appeared at the Old Bailey today (Tuesday, November 3), charged with the murder of Elife Beqa.

The 40-year-old, of Convent Way, Southall, pleaded not guilty. He was remanded in custody and his trial was set by His Honour Judge Wide QC for February 1 next year.

Ms Beqa, aged 34, was found dead at a flat in Convent Way, Southall, on the borders of Hounslow and Ealing boroughs, on August 13 this year.

People living on the estate told getwestlondon in August that she was well known in the area and her death had left the community "in shock".
