A man and a child were rushed to hospital after a fire broke out at a house in Kingsbury.

A man was taken to hospital suffering from burns to his feet and a child was taken as a precaution, a London Fire Brigade (LFB) spokesman said.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a terraced house on Goldsmith Lane, after the outside decking of the property caught fire on Saturday (June 4).

The decking and canopy of the house were damaged.

LFB was called at 10.43am and the fire was under control by 11.30am. Fire crews from Stanmore, Hendon and Willesden fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
