A man has been charged for a double stabbing which took place in Hyde Park after a water fight turned violent.

Josh Clemence, 18, of Foxglove Street in White City near Shepherd's Bush, was charged with attempted murder and grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, on Thursday (July 28).

He has also been charged with possession of a knife, possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and two counts of handling stolen goods.

He is due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court today (July 28).

A police officer and two other people were stabbed in the park last Tuesday (July 19), after a water fight on the hottest day of the year descended into chaos.

The Metropolitan Police said both male victims taken to hospital have been since discharged.

Detectives investigating the Hyde Park disorder have released images of people they want to speak to following the unrest, where five officers were hurt.

Dozens of CCTV images have also been released of people police wish to identify in connection with a violent disorder at nearby McDonald's in Marble Arch , on the same night, where people were seen helping themselves to food.
