A man arrested over a fatal crash on the A4 in Osterley has been bailed to return for police questioning next month.

The 28-year-old was arrested on Monday (February 9) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He had attended a police station that day following the collision the previous morning, in which 31-year-old Janusz Adam Partyka, who was engaged to be married, died.

Police were called to the scene of the crash, near the junction with Wood Lane, on Sunday just before 5am to reports of a collision involving a blue BMW and a pedestrian.

Mr Partyka, who police said lived locally, was pronounced dead at the scene.
