A man who was arrested in Whitehall on Thursday April 27 has pleaded not guilty to charges relating to terrorism and explosives offenses.

Khalid Mohammed Omar Ali, 27, appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday (September 26)

Ali, of north London, was charged with the preparation of terrorist acts on or before April 27.

He was also charged with the possession of explosive substances with intent to cause serious injury to or kill others on or before January 28 2012 and a second count of the same charge on or before July 6 2012.

The latter two charges relate to activity in Afghanistan.

He has been remanded to appear at the Old Bailey for trial on Monday November 6.
