After 43-year-old Philippa May was assaulted while she walked through Uxbridge on Halloween (October 31), detectives have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the vicious attack.

Ms May was left bruised and bloody after she was attacked from behind by an unknown assailant who made sexual threats at around 7.30pm.

The 22-year-old man was arrested on Thursday (November 17) and is being held in custody in a police station in north London.

While walking home from a gym in the centre of Uxbridge, Ms May turned into an alley on St John's Road that leads to Culvert Lane.

A male suspect ran up behind her, pushed her to the floor before brutally attacking her and stealing her rucksack.

The suspect was seen running back along St John's Road past the General Elliott pub.

Ms May then ran to her partners house, covered in blood after suffering nasty cuts to her face.

Some of her belongings were later recovered in nearby Rockingam Park but her bag and two iPhones are still missing.

The items still not found are a black rucksack and two iPhone 5S phones – one with a transparent apple green cover and another with a black Griffin Survivor rubber case.
