Concerns about safety at junction

Brent Cyclists has said that while it does not know the full details of the incident, the crash highlights existing concerns about safety at the site.

In a message posted on its website , it said the design of the junction was very poor and appeared to imply priority for motor traffic despite the fact drivers are meant to give way to pedestrians and cyclists using Olympic Way.

It said it was important to address the safety issues by improving road markings, especially with ongoing regeneration work likely to increase traffic in the area.
