A man from Hampton has been jailed for five years for historic sexual assaults committed in the 1990s.

Aaron Pescud, 32 was sentenced on Friday December 19 at Kingston Court, after previously being found guilty of three counts of indecent assault on a female under 14 years.

Detectives from the Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Command were contacted in February 2013 by two women who stated they had both been assaulted by Pescud in the late 1990s while visiting his family home. He was interviewed by officers later that month and charged on 5 June 2013.

Detective Constable Claire Samy, said: "Despite the passage of time, Pescud has been sentenced for assaulting his victims who were young children at the time. I hope that today provides some closure to the women and assures any other victims of sexual assault that the police will take their allegations seriously and investigate."
