The M4 is among a number of roads in west London subject to closures and roadworks next week as Transport for London (TfL) advise road users to check their route before travelling.

Railway examination works are causing restrictions in Southall and sewer repair works are forcing a road to close in West Brompton.

A number of roads are subject to restrictions around Hyde Park due to ongoing work on the Cycle Superhighway.

Below is a list of some of the road closures and roadworks which could affect your commute to work.

Hillingdon

The M4 eastbound between junction 4B for the M25 and junction 4 for Heathrow Spur will be closed during the night between Monday (October 9) and Friday (October 13).

During the resurfacing works, a diversion will be in place via M25 to junction 14, A3113 Airport Way, A3044 Stanwell Moor Road, A4 Bath Road, Newport Road to the M4 Spur.

Southall

Due to railway bridge examination works, the A4127 Windmill Lane northbound at the junction of Iron Bridge (Uxbridge Road) will be closed overnight from midnight until 4am.

Closures will be in place until October 30.

Shepherd's Bush

Throughout October there are various restrictions on the A3220 Holland Road in both directions between Holland Park Roundabout and Addison Crescent.

Due to road resurfacing works, restrictions will be in place between around 9pm and 5.30am each night from Sunday to Thursday.

From Monday (October 9) until Monday, October 16 Holland Road will be closed southbound.

Kensington

Resurfacing works will be taking place on the A4 Cromwell Road between Gloucester Road and Knaresborough.

The westbound side of the road will be closed on Monday (October 9) and Tuesday (October 10).

West Brompton

The B317 North End Road is closed in both directions between Lillie Road and Sedlescombe Road to facilitate sewer repair works.

Closures will be in place until Saturday, October 28.

Maida Vale

TfL is warning of possible delays on the B414 Elgin Avenue northbound between Harrow Road and Chippenham Road until October 13.

Lane restrictions are in place due to carriageway repair works and there is no access to Elgin Avenue from Harrow Road.

Pimlico

Eccleston Square is closed in both directions at the junction of Belgrave Road until Tuesday, October 10.

According to TfL, the closure is due to utility works.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.

Westminster

There will be various restrictions in place on Birdcage Walk, Hyde Park Corner, Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate, until October 31.

It is to facilitate works for the Cycle Superhighway, which will provide cycle routes from outer to inner London.
