M4 and M25 roadworks and closures: Everything you need to know ahead of your commute

Here is all the information you need to know if you're planning on jumping into the car and travelling around west London's roads next week

A number of roads in west London are subject to roadworks and closures next week so make sure you double check your route before you head out.

Work continues in Fulham Road between Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens, and both the M4 and M25 are subject to closures.

Hounslow

Resurfacing work by Highways England will begin next week on the M4 at junction 3.

The eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight for two nights between 10pm until 5.30am from Tuesday (August 29).

Motorists will be able to follow a signed diversion via the M3 westbound to junction 4 and return.

Heathrow

Surveys and resurfacing work will be carried out on the M4 at junction 4 for Heathrow.

Motorists should be aware the eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight for two nights from Friday (September 1).

Closures will be in place between 11pm and 5.30am and a diversion will be clearly signed taking traffic via junction 5 and return.

Also around the Heathrow Airport area, work is being carried out on the slip road to the M25 from Terminal 5.

It will be closed overnight between 10.30pm and 5.30am on Sunday (September 3).

Motorists will be diverted via the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 13 and return.

Kensington and Chelsea

Fulham Road is closed in both directions between the A3220 Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens and westbound at the junction of Beaufort Street for on-going National Grid gas main replacement works.

Closures will be in place until September 30 and two way temporary signals are in place at the junction with Elm Park Gardens.

Westminster

Various restrictions are in place on the A302 Parliament Square due to the refurbishment of the Palace of Westminster.

Work will continue until September 30.

Victoria

From Friday (September 1) until Friday, September 8, the A302 Victoria Street will be closed in both directions between Buckingham Palace Road and Wilton Road due to the Nova Victoria works.

Buckingham Palace Road is also closed between Lower Grosvenor Place and Victoria Street.
