A lorry fire on the M4 just before lunchtime on Friday (April 7) has caused the motorway to be closed heading away from London.
Highways England reported the fire at around 11.45am and the road has been closed westbound between Junction 6 and Junction 8 and there are severe delays in the area.
Pictures from the scene show smoke billowing and queues building up.
A statement from Highways England said: "M4 is now closed W/B between J6 and J8/9 due to an incident and heavy vehicle fire."

Woman sustained neck injury
The spokesman for the ambulance service added: “Three patients were treated.
“One was a female patient who sustained a possible neck injury, another was a male who sustained an arm injury - both were in there 30s and taken to “Wrexham Park following being treated at the scene.
“A male in his 40s was treated for non life threatening injuries at the scene and did not need hospital treatment.”

A statement from South Central Ambulance Service said: “We received the call at 11.05am to a two vehicle RTC.
“Two ambulance officers and an ambulance crew were sent to the scene.
There were three patients treated at the scene.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed the two vehicle crash in a tweet posted at around 11.22am.
Two lanes are now open but the traffic is still badly congested on the motorway.
