Before jumping into your car and heading to work or travelling around London next week, make sure you check your route as a number of roads across the capital are subject to closures and roadworks .

The M4 will have closures in place in Chiswick and near Heathrow Airport , while Transport for London (TfL) is warning of delays on other routes in the capital.

Below is a list of just some of the roads where motorists should be aware of closures and roadworks.

Chiswick

According to Highways England, work to improve journeys by carrying out drainage work continues next week.

The eastbound carriageway of the M4, at junction 1 for Chiswick to junction 3 for Hounslow , will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am for three nights from Monday (June 26).

Motorists will be diverted via the A312 and A4 to Chiswick roundabout.

The westbound carriageway will also be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am for two nights from Thursday (June 29).

Work on Friday will start at 11pm and a diversion will be in place via the A4 and A312.

Heathrow and Uxbridge

Drainage surveys will be carried out on the M4 link roads to the M25, affecting routes to Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and Uxbridge .

The link roads will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am on Saturday (July 1).

A diversion will be in place via junction 5 and return.

Southall

Park Avenue will be closed between Avenue Road and South Road until July 30, due to roadworks.

Motorists are advised to plan an alternative route.

Hounslow

The A315 Staines Road will be closed in both directions between Green Lane and Barrack Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.

The closure will be in place overnight from 8pm until 5am from Monday (June 26) until Thursday (June 29).

Kensington and Chelsea

Fulham Road will be closed westbound between Edith Grove and Gunter Grove with a local diversion in place.

Temporary traffic signals will be in operation on the A304 Fulham Road between Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens until July 19.

Fulham Road will then be closed westbound between Beaufort Street and Edith Grove until September 30.

Westminster

There will be various restrictions in place in Birdcage Walk, Hyde Park Corner, Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate until June 28.

It is to facilitate works for the Cycle Superhighway which will provide cycle routes from outer to inner London.

Knightsbridge

Work continues until April 2019 during the redevelopment of 55 to 91 Knightsbridge .

It is affecting the A4 in Knightsbridge in both directions between Wilton Place and William Street and the westbound bus lane is closed.

Paddington

Crossrail works are causing various long term restrictions and closures in Eastbourne Terrace between Cleveland Terrace and the A4205 Praed Street.

Closures will be in place until January next year.
